Montclair – the First SunSmart City 

The SunSmartest Town in America!

Montclair's own, Veronica Stigeler-Cowher pka "Queen V" is the Chair of the Foundation's SunSmart City program.  She, RADM Boris Lushniak, Montclair Mayor, Robert Jackson, the Township Council and many others celebrated Montclair (NJ) as the FIRST SunSmart City when RADM Boris Lushniak officially declared Montclair the SunSmartest Town in America! 

Deputy US Surgeon General, RADM Boris D. Lushniak, MD, MPH, "Cut the Ribbon" declaring Montclair the SunSmartest Town in America.  Many elected officials, supporters and interested parties were on hand to witness the unveiling and the ceremonial planting of a tree signifying Montclair's commitment to providing shade through structures and tree canopies.   Following the ceremony and press conference, and before the Cocktail Reception, there was a VIP Meet & Greet to mingle with special guests. Click on picture for more photos.
